A Special One-Day Rail Experience

RDC1 6125 of the Train du Haut-St.-Francois tourist railway in East Angus, PQ, ready for Quebec Central weekend tour

Travel from Boston through the beautiful hills of Vermont on a specially chartered train, the Vermont Snow Express. Leaving from Boston in the early morning, the train will travel west and then northward along the Connecticut River to Brattleboro and Bellows Falls, Vermont. Travelers may leave the train at Brattleboro and spend four hours in this lovely New England town or continue up to Bellows Falls. Snacks are available onboard or travelers may bring a picnic lunch. The Vermont Snow Express also offers a first class experience in a private observation car, Caritas, where visitors will travel in luxury and dine on gourmet meals.

For those choosing the Brattleboro stopover, there are six optional activities available, including lunch at the Putney Inn, guided tours of covered bridges and a candle works, sleigh rides and a gallery walk and historic walking tour. Those traveling on to Bellows Falls will have a two-hour stopover and can have lunch and explore that town.

The Vermont Snow Express will travel on Saturday, February 22, 2003, leaving Boston at 7:40 a.m. and arriving back in Boston around 9:00 p.m. All seating is reserved. Tickets are $75.00 for adults and $40.00 for children, with additional fees for the optional activities. The luxury Caritas First Class Service is $379.00 per person.
