This membership association of rail travelers is currently
offering some wonderful U.S. rail trips, including an April 2003 Kentucky
Derby Train. Departing on April 30, 2003, travelers will depart St.
Paul, Minnesota, after spending the previous night in the four-diamond
St. Paul Hotel. The Royal Canadian Pacific train will take you on
an overnight ride to Chicago, where you will continue on to Jeffersonville,
Kentucky, across the river from Louisville, home of Churchill Downs
and the world famous Kentucky Derby.
The next day, a short motorcoach ride will take
you to Louisville and Churchill Downs, where you will have a covered
box seat for the 129th running of the Kentucky Derby.
Travelers will also be treated to a tour of two famous horse farms
in the beautiful countryside surrounding Louisville, the Darby
Dan Farm and the Ashford Stud Farm.
 The
meals on IRT Society tours are always excellent, as is the hospitality.
