Travel Tours announces availability of their 2003 destination
brochure to the public.
Rail Travel Tours, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, announced
that their 2003 destination brochure is now available. North America's
newest rail tour operator has used regular scheduled Canadian passenger
trains to create original tour options to scenic Canada. These unique
tours come from years of researching Canada's rail passenger routes.
This brochure details all of the tour options, the dates of the
tours and what each tour includes.
"Using VIA Rail Canada, and other Canadian rail
passenger providers, our tours allow you a memorable experience.
We do not let the world pass by the windows, we get off and explore
it!" said Rail Travel Tours owner/operator Daryl Adair regarding
their 2003 destination brochure.
Tours scheduled for 2003 include "The Trappers
Train," traveling by train to visit to The Pas Mb for the Trappers
Festival; "Spring on the Skeena," Winnipeg-Prince Rupert, BC with
stops in Jasper and Prince George; "Rockies by Rail," a Winnipeg-Kamloops-Vancouver
round trip journey; "Northern Manitoba Explorer," an eye opening
visit to Churchill, Gillam, Thompson, Lynn Lake and The Pas, Manitoba;
and "Fall Colours of N.W. Ontario," a view of the Canadian Shields
fall colours and more.
Adair has been organizing rail tours as a volunteer
with a Canadian railway heritage organization, for their members
and the general public, since 1998. He is also the author of the
Guide to Canada's Railway Heritage and has detailed the Canadian
rail passenger network for an upcoming publication. He also writes
for the Canadian Tourism Commission's TOURISM publication. Adair
is now taking his knowledge of Canadian rail travel and making it
available to all that would like to explore the Canadian outdoors
and cultural mosaic.
Tour guides will have extensive knowledge and
related material about the route travelled. Upcoming site will be
interpreted accordingly for the full enjoyment of the group. Tours
will include some of Canada's finest attractions such as the Manitoba
Museum, the North Pacific Cannery Historic Site, Vancouver's Gastown
and more.
