Lego Trains

Since you are reading this column, you probably love trains, or at least train travel. And, the odds are that at some time in your life either you, or a young family member or friend, have played with Legos.

As a company, Lego, Inc. is very successful and well-respected. One of the reasons for this is that alongside the classic Lego products, the company is constantly offering new and timely products, that are well-made and durable. Of particular interest to all of you is the current line of Lego products featuring trains. The holidays are coming up, so consider these as gifts for your young family members and friends.

Lego

The Lego train kits are designed to allow the buyer to build his or her own railroad. "Build Your Own Freight Railway" comes with an engine and three flatbed cars, cranes, trucks, as well as track. However, the builder can customize his cars, add to and customize track, add cars and motorize the train.

The "Metroliner Kit" includes a Metroliner car and a railroad club car and tracks, and can be customized with various items, including a 9 volt speed regulator, train station, railstop platform, luggage cart and travelers. Also available is the "Railway Express," which includes five rail cars, workers, passengers, two cars and track, along with a speed regulator. Age ranges for all kits are 8+.

Like all Lego toys, these items are very cool, and lots of fun. Visit Lego Trains for more information.
