Whenever I travel I inevitably return home with
numerous scraps of paper, business cards, brochures, articles ripped
out of magazines and newspapers and the proverbial notes on cocktail
napkins. If I was extremely organized, I would transfer all of the
information to my laptop on a regular basis. I am not that organized,
nowhere near it. So, the scraps pile up - in my wallet, my backpack,
my suitcase, my pockets, my son's pockets, everywhere.
Enter the QuickLink Pen - a little item that I
recently purchased and took on its inaugural trip. This little treasure
is an electronic highlighter that scans printed material, from newspapers,
brochures, magazines and, if you write really neatly, from those
cocktail napkins. It then transfers the information to your computer,
PDA or cell phone (if you are someone who has a cell phone at all,
much less one that knows what to do with digitally transferred information).
The QuickLink Pen is very light, a little larger
than the average flat marker, and stores up to a thousand pages.
For those of you who travel the world, it knows eight languages.
Downside - it's only PC compatible.
