Kayla and Alec Ride the Acela Express

This past winter, Trainfans, Inc., in conjunction with Amtrak, released a children's video entitled "Kayla and Alec Ride the Acela Express." Now, just a few months later, sales of this video are indicating that it is quite popular with the young ones. I have seen the video and I can see why. The children portrayed in the video are very realistic, just the sort of kids my son and I meet when riding the train.

The video includes onboard segments, as well as scenes in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. It also features segments on the construction and maintenance of the train. The $19.95 video is available at most book and music stores, and the DVD will be released soon. A companion book will be released on May 10, 2002.

Now, Trainfans has produced another video, "Kayla and Alec Visit Trenton, NJ," scheduled for release on June 1, 2002. This video/DVD will feature the two children visiting Trenton landmarks, such as Waterfront Park, Sovereign Ban Arena, Chambersburg, the State Museum and Planetarium, and the Old Barracks Museum.

"We are extremely enthused about this Children's Video/DVD project because Trenton is a city that is rich in history, culture and entertainment," commented Steven Haase, principal of Trainfans, Inc. "It is also a city that is currently experiencing many revitalization projects and we are excited to feature many of the wonderful experiences that the city of Trenton has to offer both children and families."

The third release in the children's entertainment series will be Kayla & Alec Visit London and Paris (scheduled for Summer, 2002 release).
